The world of work is indeed a complex place offering the full gamut of human activity and experience. However, I have often heard people comment that organizations are faceless places that do unwelcome things to the fabric of our lives; as if organizations are some form of alien entity. But the truth is, as almost all of us work in organizations of some sort, we are complicit and have some responsibility for creating this foreign world or at least having it feel so foreign. Having organizations as creative forces for good is possible provided we each play our part. Organizations need to adapt and innovate to survive and to do this they need real human beings to power them.
